Miguel López Ayerbe

Spain, 2000 — composer for film, animation, games and digital content.

Music doesn't start with notes. It starts with a story that needs to be felt.

Composing for visual media means finding the emotional truth behind an image and giving it a sound — not to explain what's on screen, but to expand what lives beneath it. That's where I work.

I create original scores for films, animation, games, and digital content, working on new projects every single month for the past four years for clients and studios worldwide.

My background as a classical violist, trained at Musikene and Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio, performing in orchestras and chamber ensembles across Europe, gave me something no plugin can teach: the understanding of how sound carries tension, emotion, and release. Beyond classical training, I studied composition and music production privately under composers Miguel Lázaro, Jeansy Auz, and Miguel Ángel Collado, each of whom shaped the way I approach narrative music and storytelling through sound.

On stage with the viola — the instrument that still shapes how I write.

Alongside my work as a composer, I've been involved in music education, bringing the same attention to craft and storytelling into how I teach and communicate music.

Music is not background. It's the invisible architecture of storytelling — the voice that speaks when words can't reach.
